Celebrating Mother’s Day

This will be my 5th Mother’s Day and I have learnt over the last few years that if you want to have something really special given to you on the day then for me I need to choose that very special thing.

In my day dream world of course this isn’t what happens, and I have been very lucky for the last few years that friends and family have helped Ben ‘choose’ cards to send me and I have been very touched by every person that has gone out of their way to do this.  It really does mean so much that they get the fact that it isn’t always an easy day for me.

I know that it isn’t just lone parents that might not have the day of being celebrated and spoilt, many people with a partner struggle on the day that it isn’t what they had hoped for too.

So this year I suggest if your children need some help or guidance in spoiling you, go do it yourself!

I decided that what Ben would get (no honestly he would, he wouldn’t choose to buy me cars) me is a beautiful engraved washer bracelet that I have had my eye on for a while.

I have ordered a necklace from Personalised Treasures before for a friend and it was stunning and such a reasonable price.

I find the service you get on Folksy to be outstanding and this order for Mother’s day was no different.  I ordered the bracelet on Sunday afternoon 4th March 2012 and it arrived on Tuesday 6th March 2012.  And it is perfect.

I have been good and taken it off to save it for Mother’s Day, but I am really looking forward to wearing it knowing it will give me that extra bit of Mummy strength on those tougher days.

Thank you so much for ‘blogging’ about my washer bracelet. Really nice of you. I’m pleased that you like it and that it will make a special gift for you on Mother’s Day.
    Thanks again
